Self-care Can be WHATEVER you Need it to be.
Happy Friday. It's March, Spring is right around the corner, and I am mentally exhausted. I am feeling a little depressy.
I feel like all I have been seeing lately is how amazing the weather is, and how everyone's seasonal depression is lifting. I can't relate. I never can, each year this time of year is my least favorite. I am sad winter is ending. I am hoping for one more good snow. I know, I know, you are probably cringing but legit when it snows the joy I get it is un-describable. I truly love winter. I love chilly weather, snow covered everything, and how magical it feels. Spring to me is gross, wet, and muddy. Mud literally everywhere. It's rainy, and icy, and I don't understand the enjoyment that comes from it.
This year is extra weird because it was our first year in business. We are experiencing the SLOW season of retail right now. It's kicking our asses. It's making us question everything. It's making us extra grateful for all of our amazing supporters.
So I just wanted to let you know if you are struggling right now, it's okay. Take it day by day, and find joy in the little moments. My joy yesterday was going to bed early. I mean I didn't fall asleep any earlier, I just got some extra time to scroll on TikTok and watch my favorite YouTubers, but it was the perfect form of self care for me. Your self-care doesn't have to be bubble baths and face masks. Truth be told, I am not a fan of bubble baths or face masks. (SHH, don't tell esthetician Kylie) for real thought the benefits of face mask are amazing and you should really invest in a good quality professional grade one.. I do sell those at my Spa- Studio K Skincare if you are in need of some recommendations I am your girl.
